informal bio

I’ve spent most of my adult life outside my home state of California. Through high school, then college, and rock n’ roll, and graduate school, along with relationships, I lived in numerous states, including Maryland, New York, Arizona, Colorado, Alaska, Alabama, New York’s Hudson Valley in New York, and the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. In 2024, I returned to California to make it my home again. I write and draw. I copywrite and project manage for the Eileen Fisher Foundation’s initiative Women Together, and copyedit and proofread for various publishers, including Chronicle Books, Storey Publishing, and Penguin Random House Children’s Books.
