informal bio 

I’m a California native who has lived throughout the US, and settled in the Northeast in 2002. I teach a little, draw a lot, write more, and do all manner of editing-related work to support my art and writing habits. Currently, I'm a marketing copywriter and editor for the Eileen Fisher Foundation’s initiative Women Together, and copyedit and proofread for various small presses, including Princeton Architectural Press and Storey Publishing.

Laura Didyk's writing has been published in Diagram, Post Road, Alligator Juniper, Fence, Hayden's Ferry Review, The Sun, and other journals. Her visual art has been printed in Orion magazine, No Tokens, Artful Mind, Your Idea Starts Here (Storey Publishing), and on the cover of the premiere issue of NELLE, a literary magazine.

Laura received her MFA in creative writing from the University of Alabama, her BA in the same at Prescott College in Arizona, and has been a resident writing fellow at Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She writes, teaches, and makes art in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
